Privacy Policy

What we collect

Nothing automatically.Posso has no analytics, no advertising, no trackers, and no third-party SDKs, and it never collects your or your children’s data in the background.

The one exception is feedback you choose to send. If you open Settings → Send feedback and submit a message, that message — and your email address only if you ask us to reply — is sent to us so we can read it and respond. Nothing else goes with it: no names, chores, photos, or any other family data. Sending feedback is entirely optional.

Where your data lives

All data you enter into Posso — kid profiles, chores, completions, prize redemptions, photos, and your parent PIN — is stored locally on your device using Apple’s SwiftData framework.

If you are signed in to iCloud, Posso uses CloudKit private database syncso the same data is available across your family’s devices. This sync goes only to your own private iCloud container; it is end-to-end inside your Apple ID and never reaches us. You can review or remove the data at any time in Settings → Apple ID → iCloud → Manage Account Storage → Posso.

Photos you add (kid avatars, selfies, chore photos, prize photos) are stored the same way — on-device as SwiftData attributes, and as CloudKit assets in your private iCloud container if sync is on. They are never uploaded anywhere else.

Parent PIN

Your parent PIN is hashed on-device with PBKDF2-SHA256 before being stored. The plain PIN never leaves the device and we have no way to recover it.

Children

Posso is designed for use by families with children. Because Posso collects no personal information from anyone — including children — it does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 (COPPA) or under 16 (GDPR-K). Children’s names and ages are entered by a parent on the device and remain on the device (and in the parent’s iCloud private container, if sync is on). The optional feedback form lives in the PIN-protected parent area, so it is not accessible to children.

Third parties

There are no third-party analytics, crash reporters, ad networks, or attribution SDKs in the app, and Posso does not share your family’s data with anyone. Posso’s only routine network calls are to Apple’s CloudKit service, on your behalf, to sync your private iCloud container.

When you choose to send feedback, that one message is delivered to us through Cloudflare (which hosts this site and sends the email). It processes only what you typed, and your reply email if you provided one, solely to deliver your message to us. No other third party is involved.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy, we will update the effective date at the top of this page. Substantive changes will be noted in the app’s release notes.
